The 2025 Legislative session has started and the fight for reparations is on, and Chris Lodgson along with other members of the Reparations Task force arrived at the California State capital to let their voices be heard, and educate themselves on legislative processes.  

Taking into account the events at the end of last year's session, they wanted to take the opportunity to voice their issues with intentions to have enough time to correct them and get legislation passed.

After the CLBC decided not to bring the reparations bills to the floor in August 2024, reparations leaders and advocates reconvened. Just because the bill died on its way to the legislature, the persistence, determination and energy for reparations has been refueled. Reparations leaders and advocates from various parts of California met at the state capital in late January 2025 to communicate their demands, requests and to answer questions.  Watch the video now to stay up to date on reparations.
